  • Mail-in request: The County Superior Court allows mail-in requests for court transcript recordings. Inquirers using this option may follow these steps:
  1. Create a request form that includes the case number, hearing date, the name of the judicial officer, and contact information.
  2. Attach required fees. For example, court transcripts cost $3 per page, while other court documents cost $0.5 per page.

Fees for Court Records in Marin County

In Marin County, inquirers may pay specific fees when requesting copies of court records. The Marin County Superior Court charges $0.50 per page for copies of documents and $40 for document certification. In addition, the court may charge a $5 retrieval fee if the requester lacks sufficient information about the record.

Criminal Records Access in Marin County

The California Department of Justice processes all requests for criminal history records in Marin County. The Marin County Sheriff’s Office will forward the form to the California Department of Justice.
